Statistics concentration
This program requires a minimum of 24 semester hours plus a thesis or a minimum of 36 hours without a thesis.
The following undergraduate courses are required, each with at least a "C" grade, and no more than two courses with "C":
- MATH 3305 Intro to Probability and Statistics
- MATH 3377 Linear Algebra
- MATH 3380 Analysis I
- MATH 4305 Probability and Statistics

These requirements can be satisfied by evidence of equivalent courses elsewhere. Students are required to make up background courses if they do not have sufficient undergraduate mathematics. This background work should be ongoing or completed before applying to graduate school. Some applicants may be missing a single course, and if otherwise strong coursework leads to admission, then a leveling course may be available in a first semester of graduate school.
